"I have had one of these for about a year now and it is extremely easy to use - just set it and forget it. It's much smaller and lighter than I thought it would be, about the same width and height as a pack of cigarettes and just a couple of times as deep, so it fits almost anywhere, meaning it doesn't matter where you hide it in the room. At night, once you've turned off the room lights it comes on about 10 seconds later and keeps going for either 4 or 7 hours depending on which setting you've chosen. Likewise, if you're not home it will work away as soon as dusk comes. I have a small flat and find it also doubles as a nightlight, if I come home late or get up in the night I don't need to fumble for a light switch straight away! From outside it really does look as if someone is in the room watching TV, it's that convincing. It's easy to turn off and on again if you don't want it on whilst watching TV in the dark, though I find it's easier to just leave it on as it doesn't distract me. If it did bother you, why not put it in a spare room, it's not like potential burglars know there's no-one in there watching TV!"
