Quick and easy way to light a fire
Only real men can make a fire, right? Pah, not thanks to the Swedish Firesteel. With this handy firestarter any man, woman, Tom, Dick or Harry can get a rip-roaring campfire going just like our spear-throwing ancestors. Rub the striker and the firestarter together for a quick and reliable spark – no stick rubbing required!
Build a fire in any weather, at any altitude with the help of a nearly 3000°C spark and laugh in the face of the 'Survival Skills' Scout badge. You can choose between two versions, the Firesteel Scout and Firesteel Army, depending on the amount of sparks you're likely to need (3000 or 12000) and you can feel safe knowing the Swedish Firesteel has been approved by the chaps at the International Survival Instructors Association.

"Bought two for the Outdoor Centre I work at. Nice Equipment - safe and easy for pupils as young as 8 to use - tip combine with cotton wool balls smeared with Vaseline to get a great result each time although this could be regarded as cheating by some hardcore outdoor folk. Another tip mark the wooden handle with a bright colour so that it can easily be found when dropped in the woods ! ! !"
