Some people might think that a little lighter fluid and a flame sounds like an extravagant way to keep warm in winter, but not us. And neither do Zippo. Fortunately the latter are the brains behind this deluxe hard warmer, which looks like a beefed up version of the original Zippo lighters and is just as safe and reliable.
The science behind it is a catalytic process that kicks off inside the hand warmer and produces heat without a flame. To get the process started pour lighter fluid into the mini plastic jug – the half fill line is enough for about 6 hours of heat and the top line is for a maximum of 12 hours of heat.
Then all you need to do is remove the outer and inner lids on the hand warmer, pour the lighter fluid in, reattach the inner unit and ignite. Pop the main lid back on, whack the hand warmer in the soft pouch and enjoy up to 12 hours of toasty heat whether you're taking the dog for a walk or stuck up a mountain. Impressive eh?

"I bought this product to keep my fingers warm when playing the melodeon for the Morris Dancers. Initially I had trouble lighting it and the instructions are pretty useless. However, I now seem to have got the hang of it and it is BRILLIANT! It runs for a long time - I had almost 13 hours from a full fill and despite what I have read from others, it does get very hot. You must keep it in its sleeve and in a pocket otherwise the heat dissipates too quickly. Much better than any other hand warmer I have used. Get one!"
